Our Faith and Action

At Vine Church, we uphold biblical truths that guide everything we believe, teach, and live. These truths shape our everyday lives and keep us grounded in the Word of God and the active work of the Holy Spirit. What follows is a clear and essential summary of our core doctrines—what we affirm about God, salvation, the Church, the Christian life and other matters of faith.

The Bible Is The Foundation of All Truth

The Holy Bible—and the Bible alone—is the authoritative Word of God. It is the final and absolute standard in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original form, Scripture is inspired, infallible, and inerrant.
2 Timothy 3:16 ; 2 Peter 1:20–21;
Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25–26

God Exists Eternally in Three Persons

There is one eternal God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal, coeternal, and perfectly unified.
John 5:7 ; Genesis 1:26 ; Matthew 3:16–17 ; Matthew 28:19 ; Luke 1:35 ; Isaiah 9:6 ; Hebrews 3:7–11

Jesus Was Born of a Virgin by the Power of the Holy Spirit

Jesus Christ was conceived by God the Father through the Holy Spirit in the Virgin Mary’s womb. This miraculous conception affirms that He is the Son of God.
Matthew 1:18 ; Matthew 1:25 ; Luke 1:35 ; Isaiah 7:14 ; Luke 1:27–35

Jesus Christ Is Fully God and Fully Man

Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. During His time on earth, He was both fully divine and fully human. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and gave His life on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for humanity’s sin. On the third day, He rose from the dead in fulfillment of the Scriptures. He ascended to the right hand of the Father and will, one day, return in power and glory.
John 1:1 ; John 1:14 ; John 20:28 ; 1 Timothy 3:16 ; Isaiah 9:6 ; Philippians 2:5–6 ; 1 Timothy 2:5

The Resurrection Is Our Blessed Hope

Jesus Christ was physically raised from the dead in a glorified body three days after His crucifixion. Both the saved and the lost will be resurrected—the saved to eternal life, and the lost to eternal judgment.

John 20:26–28 ; John 21:4 ; Acts 24:15 ;

Humanity Fell, but Redemption Is Found in Christ Alone

God created humanity good and upright. But through voluntary transgression, mankind fell and lost access to God’s purpose. Redemption is found only in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Genesis 1:26–31 ; Genesis 3:1–7 ; Romans 5:12–21

The Blood of Jesus Cleanses Us from All Sin

The blood that Jesus Christ shed on the cross of Calvary was sinless and fully sufficient to cleanse all of humanity from sin. He willingly endured punishment for both our sinful nature and our individual sins, making it possible for all who believe to be freed from sin’s penalty—eternal death.

Titus 3:5 ; Romans 10:9–10 ; Acts 16:31 ; Hebrews 9:22

Repentance Opens the Door to Redemption

We Are Born Again by the Holy Spirit

No one can know God apart from the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. New birth is essential for a relationship with Him.

The Holy Spirit Empowers Believers

The baptism in the Holy Spirit, given at Pentecost, is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His ascension to empower the Church to proclaim the gospel across the earth. This baptism is often evidenced by speaking in tongues in the Scriptures and our present experience.

Matthew 28:19 ; Acts 2:38 ; Mark 16:16 ; Acts 8:12 ; Acts 8:36–38 ; Acts 10:47–48

The Church Is the Body of Christ on Earth

The Church is the Body of Christ—the dwelling place of God through the Spirit—and is commissioned to fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission. Every Spirit-born believer is a vital member of the Church, and there is spiritual unity among all who are in Christ.

Spiritual Gifts Confirm the Gospel and Build the Church

The Holy Spirit manifests Himself through a variety of spiritual gifts that build up and sanctify the Church. The gifts are confirmation of the resurrection of Christ in us and demonstrate the power of the gospel. These gifts may appear in different combinations and are to be earnestly desired by all believers. They always function in alignment with Scripture and never violate biblical principles.

God Provides for Every Area of Life

It is God’s will for believers to be whole, healthy, and fruitful in every area of life. While the effects of the original fall may hinder the complete experience of this blessing, believers are encouraged to pursue all of Christ’s provision in order to serve others more effectively.

The Pillars of Our Structure

With our values firmly established, we now turn to how they come to life within our church community. Vine Church is built on a framework designed to cultivate spiritual growth and lasting transformation.

These unified pillars define how we live and grow as a church: LifeGroups, Courses, Discipleship, and Services. Each one plays a vital role, and together they form the rhythm of our mission to raise and multiply overcomers.

Our Evangelism Process

Flowing naturally from our emphasis on community, our approach to evangelism is also relational. At Vine, connection begins relationally and progresses spiritually. That’s why evangelism is rooted in LifeGroups.
This is how it often unfolds:
First, we win people to ourselves.
Then, we win people to our group.
Finally, we win people to Christ.

Guided by LifeGroup Leaders

This relational and missional approach is carried out by a “dream team” of incredible leaders and hosts. Each season, LifeGroup leaders help guide the direction of the semester by participating in decisions related to events and the care of group members.
As a leader, you help shape the semester’s emphasis and project focus. Leaders are also the first to be informed about key financial updates concerning the church.

Protected by Disciplers

To support this leadership structure, every LifeGroup leader is covered by a discipler. These disciplers act as supervisors, encouraging, mentoring, and walking alongside each leader in their care.
Disciplers are trusted, experienced leaders who provide leadership insight and guidance. They also report minor pastoral needs and offer valuable input to the pastors on important financial decisions.

Shepherded by Pastors

Vine Church staff pastors are faithful men and women who meet the biblical qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1-7 ) Together, they form the church’s governing board and are responsible for making most of Vine’s financial decisions.

Our pastors also serve under the spiritual covering of Vine International Ministries, a higher pastoral council that provides oversight and accountability. The president of the regional committee also serves on our local presbytery, further strengthening our alignment and biblical foundation.

Our Government and Finances

As you consider investing your heart, time, family, and finances into the life of a church, it’s essential to feel confident in its leadership. That’s why we openly share how Vine Church is structured—with integrity, accountability, and spiritual authority as guiding values.

At every leadership level, from LifeGroup leaders to disciplers to pastors, we are designed to steward people and resources with wisdom and faithfulness. Whether through decisions related to outreach, discipleship, or finances, we believe that transparency and shared responsibility are essential to building a church that honors God in every way.
